Ganderbal (J&K), February 06 (ANI): The Mission Yuva awareness drive, launched by the Jammu and Kashmir government, is making significant strides in promoting entrepreneurship among the valley’s youth. This nationwide initiative seeks to encourage self-employment by raising awareness of various government schemes designed for people of all age groups, especially skilled youth who aspire to launch their own businesses. As part of the initiative, experts from different departments, including labor and employment, are conducting informative sessions across the region, with Ganderbal being one of the focal points. These sessions involve detailed presentations and special lectures, aimed at providing a deep understanding of government-backed programs that can support startup ventures. Mission Yuva is particularly focused on assisting young entrepreneurs who, despite possessing skills, face challenges such as limited capital and lack of awareness about financial opportunities. To motivate participants, a short film was screened, showcasing success stories of individuals who have already started their own businesses using the available government schemes. Skilled youth, both male and female, actively participated in these sessions, interacting with experts and asking questions about how to initiate businesses with low capital investment. The importance of boosting the private sector was emphasized, as government jobs are limited, leaving young people to explore alternative income sources. Under Mission Yuva, the government is offering a variety of schemes at subsidized rates and facilitating loans at low-interest rates to help these young entrepreneurs take their first steps towards self-employment.
