The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that it was investigating the crash. Learjet 35A that skidded off the runway, which then collided with a Gulfstream 200 jet. The incident comes at a time of heightened scrutiny of the United States air safety. On February 10, tragedy struck at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona when a midsize business jet veered off the runway during landing, fatally colliding with a parked jet. Authorities confirmed that at least one person lost their life in the incident.
