Washington [US], August 22: Former US President Donald Trump will go to prison to pay more than 4.7 billion dong on bail and is not expected to participate in the first debate of the Republican candidates.
CNN on August 22, citing sources familiar with the matter, said that former US President Donald Trump planned to present and check in at the Fulton County Jail (Georgia) on August 24.

It is expected that the first debate session of the Republican candidates running for the position of party representative for the US Presidential election in 2024 will take place on the evening of August 23 and he does not plan to attend.
While Fulton County officials were waiting for Trump and 18 other defendants to arrive, the sheriff's office employees there were threatened. Last week, the FBI began looking into these threats.
According to court documents, Mr. Trump agreed to pay $200,000 and accept other conditions for his release after his attorneys worked with the District Attorney's Office in Washington. Fulton County on August 21.
Mr. Trump's bail conditions are more binding than the other defendants in the case. The former president is prohibited from using social media to target these 18 defendants in the case, as well as to target those involved who have not been prosecuted.
Trump is also prohibited from communicating "directly or indirectly" about the case with any other defendants or witnesses in the case, except through his attorney. The agreement was signed by Attorney General Fani Willis of Fulton County and three of Trump's attorneys, attorneys Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg and Jennifer Little.
On August 15, the former president and 18 others were indicted by a grand jury in Fulton on charges of trying to reverse defeat in the 2020 presidential election.
Mr Trump denied any wrongdoing and accused Willis, a Democrat, of being politically motivated. He also denied all charges in three previous criminal prosecutions, involving allegations of keeping secret documents and trying to subvert election results.
